Silk shell by Sheila Furlan
2022
In collaboration with Kathrin Knöpfle
Performance (Kathrin Knöpfle | Performing Arts)
with transparent body shells made of silk (Sheila Furlan)
Imprints, layering,
a peeling away of shells to the core
exposing the essence,
transience
what can we let go of and discard?
Processes of change,
transformation
a connection with the environment
surrounding natural materials,
Will traces be left behind?
She literally fills her body and feels inside of it
and creates new images for something familiar.
